“A broad range of minerals are found in Greenland that can be used to support innovative technology and financial independence. For example, the 2011 Strategy explains that ‘Greenland is also rich in mineral deposits, including zinc, copper, nickel, gold, diamonds and platinum group metals, and has substantial deposits of so-called critical metals, including rare earth elements, several of which are important components of high-end technology, including green energy technologies’ (2011, 24; see also: 2008, 23).”
