For example, the 2011 Strategy explains that ‘Greenland is also rich in mineral deposits, including zinc, copper, nickel, gold, diamonds and platinum group metals, and has substantial deposits of so-called critical metals, including rare earth elements, several of which are important components of high-end technology, including green energy technologies’ (2011, 24; see also: 2008, 23).”
